New Leaf Resort is located in somewhat of a sweet spot of Lamai Beach. A spacious bungalow in a tropical setting with a choice of fan or A/C. All rooms include TV, refrigerator, hot water and quality security service for your safety – not bad. This is, of course, a budget option, close to the amenities and fun of the area.
For complete solitude you can even escape into an entirely different atmosphere among the orchards in the mountains or experience Samui as it was twenty years ago by wandering among the coconut plantations of the South. Samui is made for tourists, with its boutique hotels and restaurants, fun and varied nightlife, and range of day time activities. Diving is popular on Samui, or you can take boat tours to nearby islands.
Lamai is Chaweng’s smaller sister, another fine white sand beach with good swimming and lush tropical scenery all around but slightly less developed in terms of the big international resorts and chains. A fine compromise.
