Kamalaya
Kamalaya is Thailand’s first Wellness Sanctuary and Holistic Spa, founded on the tropical island of Koh Samui in November 2005. Its aim is to promote holistic wellness - harmony in mind, body and spirit. Its name translates as ‘Lotus Realm’, an enduring symbol of the unfolding of the human spirit. To quote founders John and Karina Stewart, it was created “to bring together diverse cultural traditions of healing and spirituality in a nurturing environment from which people can explore life’s infinite potential.”
Each guest receives a complimentary Wellness Consultation to ensure individual aspirations are supported in every possible way.
At the heart of Kamalaya is a cave, once used as a place of meditation and spiritual retreat by Buddhist monks, that adds a special energy.
Kamalaya’s Soma Restaurant, Amrita Café, and Alchemy Bar offer a fusion of Eastern and Western healthy, inspired cuisine. Menus include vegetarian, fish, poultry and lamb dishes as well as detox and customized meals. Beverages include fresh juices, herbal teas and selected wines.
