Samrong Bay Information Guide

samrong bay mapSamrong Bay, the Secret Beach, is 5 km from the Koh Samui International Boutique Airport with its flights direct to and from Bangkok, Phuket, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong operated by Bangkok Airways. Thai Airway runs a daily service from Bangkok to Suratthani. You can hop on a ferry from the mainland and arrive at Nathon, Samui. You’ll find the secret beach 7km from Chaweng.

This is a great place for privacy and relaxing. It’s appreciated by the holiday maker who follows a dream or pure and removed locations in paradise. And it’s close enough to the good stuff so you won’t get bored.

Arayaburi Boutique Resort is at Samrong Bay. The villas offer decent comfort and seclusion, each with its own terrace with panoramic view of Samrong Bay. The beach is made of pure, white sand beach. The resort restaurant is very good, with a range of food and dishes made to order. Take a cocktail down to the beach!

Sila Evason is within easy reach from Samrong Bay, one of Samui’s finest hotels and home to a treetop spa – one of the best in the kingdom – and two tree top restaurants, Dining on the Rocks and Dining on the Hill. You’ll be able to get a hotel buggy down to the beach for your daily swim in the warm sea. It heats up in the afternoon, so bring sun cream and shade, you’re going to need it, and be lulled by the sound of the surf.

Chef Chom’s Restaurant

Chef Chom’s can truly claim to offer ‘Royal Thai Cuisine’, as Chef Chom herself comes from a family who used to cook in the palace of the late princess Vibhavadee Rangsit. Equally delicious is the home style Thai cooking. The restaurant is extremely spacious and airy, and offers great views of the bay. Read more
